This policy is formulated in full compliance with theAustralian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, regulated by the ACCC. It applies to all online orders placed with Marivia across Australia. Statutory consumer guarantees cannot be excluded or limited.

1. Statutory Consumer Guarantees

Under Australian law, you are entitled to free repair, replacement or full refund if goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed, unsafe or unfit for purpose. These legal rights apply for a reasonable period after purchase and override any store policies.

2. Voluntary Change-of-Mind Returns

Australian law does not mandate cooling-off periods for standard online change-of-mind returns. As a customer benefit, Marivia offers a voluntary 30-day return window for eligible items:
  • Items must be unused, unwashed, undamaged, with original tags and intact packaging
  • Change-of-mind return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

3. Return Processing Procedure

Submit your return request via our official email within the valid return period. Our team will inspect returned goods within 3–5 Australian business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after parcel receipt.

4. Shipping Liability for Returns

  • Our Error (Faulty/Wrong/Damaged Items): We cover all return postage costs and offer full refund or free replacement.
  • Customer Preference Returns: Customer is responsible for return shipping fees.

5. Refund Processing Timeline

Once your return is inspected and approved, we will initiate your refund immediately. Funds will be returned to your original payment method. Bank processing times vary per Australian financial institution.

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are exempt from change-of-mind returns due to hygiene and custom regulations under Australian retail standards:
  • Customised or personalised products
  • Sealed intimate apparel and cosmetics once packaging is opened
  • Items marked “Final Sale” on product pages

7. Order Cancellation

Unshipped orders may be cancelled free of charge at any time. Once dispatched, cancellation is unavailable; you may apply for a return after receiving your parcel.
